@viktoriia20l: 📌 Tower Bridge with a view of the City of London, United Kingdom 🌇 These photos were taken during a beautiful walk across Tower Bridge during sunset. From the bridge, you get a great view of the City of London, including the iconic Gherkin and the Shard. Tower Bridge spans the River Thames, is 290m long and was built between 1886 and 1894. One side of the bridge is directly next to the Tower of London and the City of London. The two towers of the bridge are connected by two horizontal walkways, which are open to visitors and contain glass floors you can look down from. The bridge is a bascule bridge, meaning the middle can open up to allow large ships to pass through. It usually now opens around 800 times a year for boats, which is a significant reduction from the 6,000+ openings a year when the bridge was first built. 📸 All photos were taken on my Pixel 6a. ------------------ #london #visitlondon #explorelondon #londonphotography #londonphotographer
