@mygymtips: Glycogen levels are key to muscle growth. Low carbs mean your muscle machinery won't fire up as much. Eat those carbs for maximum gains! #GymTips #Fitness #MuscleGrowth #Carbs #Workout
This is going to make a lot of fasted lifters cry.

Are you saying over the course of 24 hour period or are you saying that you need your glycogen storage up when you’re working out? Is this a fasted lifting thing I’m a little confused.

I think people underestimate how much composition change they can undergo by keeping carbs but eliminating sugar, cakes, breads and other sweets,.. while at the same time ingesting good quality carbs like potatoes, sweet potatoes and other starchy veggies at the same calorie count. Especially if you refrigerate them and convert some to diet resistant starches. 🤔 Keeping your protein high, your carbs moderate,.. but zero junk food.

eating carbs pre workout spikes liver glycogen which reminds our nervous system of the abundance of stored glycogen we have, lowering perception of effort because our body knows it has the energy to perform the task

Carb loading 8-12 hours before is very important. More important than your form. 🤣🤣🤣 You will notice your workouts are better and recovery is way better.

Perhaps. But there are also studies that show fasting triggers more growth hormone production in your body. Thus making more muscle when you work out

I know this isn’t a problem for most people who are sedentary af, but for those of us to do exercise every day, is there a way to determine or gauge what your glycogen level may be at from one day to another?
