Yes I agree! I am Australian and as I get older, finding it harder to make friends other than people I’ve been friends with sine school. I always felt like it was just me personally….I hate small talk as well and feels like every other female is so good at it except me! Watching your video makes me feel like I should be trying to make friends with people in other countries. I didn’t realize this was a shared experience among Aussies. Help :(

I’m a 4th gen Australian, I gave up making friends a long time ago. I’m an over-sharer. I’ll tell you my experiences and weird funny stuff I’ve done throughout my life within the first 20 mins of meeting someone. And I can attest that this is why I don’t have friends. I can’t STAND small talk. Like tell me about what your ex did to you that one time that made you so mad you almost combusted 😂😆

Living in Australia for the past 2 years and the friends I made were all immigrants. Now I live in a smaller town and got worse. I can’t even order a coffee without a girl giving me a bitchy tone just because I have an accent. They also think you’re dumb because you have an accent and not bcs you speak more than 1/2 languages. So they think I don’t pick up on their condescending tone. Terrible
