Holy these comments are hurting my brain you can’t be this dumb. Ted is still Rick without his memories, he became himself without realising. He got smarter and smarter once he found out who he actually was, and fell into the same habits as real Rick did. He thought he would be happier if he was at his full potential, then realised he was just the exact same with extra intelligence and memories

I thought it was gonna be a filler episode because the first one was so good. It definitely was not. rhe was gonna turn back into his depressed nihilistic self regardless, it’s just who he is. That’s why him hitting the red button and getting all of his knowledge back barely looked like it worked, he was already starting to become the same old Rick.when will this guy ever be truly happy?

If Rick and Morty could keep these type of episodes up, the show would go back to S1/2’s quality - a great episode that showed Rick cannot escape from himself, and that no matter who he is, he will become himself again (Marjorie dying like Diane, Rick wandering the universe for purpose, losing friends, etc.)

The writing of the episode was genuinely soo good. The way Ted ended up turning into season 1 Rick as he realize he was the smartest man in the universe 🔥

Кто не понял, Рик в этой серии отдыхал без памяти и его отпуск подошёл к концу. Но он не захотел возвращать память и нажимать кнопки, одна из них бы вернула память, а другая позволила остаться на подольше без памяти. В итоге он даже не нажимав ни одной кнопке в конце серии стал таким же, когда нажал, то стало ясно, что ничего не поменялось, кроме возвращенной памяти. Смысл в том, что Рик никогда не сможет бы счастливым, т.к даже не нажимая кнопки он вернулся к прежним идеям и тд. Очень сильная серия, раскрывающая отчаянность Рика, так как он никогда не сможет остаться счастливым навсегда.

For those not understanding it’s because Ted had already become Rick again, once he found out who he was he started to turn back slowly, at the end he was already back to being Rick so the button didn’t do anything, that’s the point. Being Rick is just sad and pain
