so true Jony. to me one of the greatest act of love is wanting to be better together and actually trying to be better together. as human we're always changing and evolving and it's unfair to confine ourselves, our expectations and our partner to something that no longer fit. if you love someone you want to make it work with them and they'd want to make it work with you. at the very damn least you both tried to get where each other needed to be.. that's hard earned love

Oh timing is crazy! We are the same a sole breadwinner provider and me and my bf had the same situation as you recently. We are both 27 and expectations change and that’s okayyyy!! Then we had “the” talk and honestly I think we loved and understood each other more. 💗

I asked this, asked to work through together, do it as a team. I have my oarts to better and he had his. He had started to put less and less effort in us which invreqsed the issues between us. He decided not to take accountability on his part and later ended it bc it was easier to give up.. I knew going through that together would have strengthen our bond and bring us together but he threw it all away just to have ”stress free, fun summer” he thinks he can just come back easily..

me and my partner have only been together for 2 years, we moved very fast with our relationship at only 19 & 20. this conversation and similar ones have happened already with us and will probably continue later on, but my god looking back to when we first moved in together, we’ve come so far and we both plan on carrying on with each other. this is exactly how i’ve felt in that situation, and he’s always been so understanding, supportive and given more than i could ever ask for. i honestly believe that once you find your person no matter how long it takes it just works!

If you are comfortable, can you make a video about that exact conversation you guys had? Like what actually happened vs what you thought, how did you time it so that moment would be as close to perfect bc I know there is never the perfect time, did you guys have to alter the conversation to try to not trigger the other person, etc?
