Heard the original idea for the remake was Freddy was actually innocent of the crimes that got him burned alive. Someone set him up. Probably would have made for a better movie.

Never seen it and don't want to. Robert Englund will always be Freddy. He was brilliant. Elm St 3 was the best A Nightmare on Elm St movie.
