Come around 5pm to get a better chance at finding parking and getting a table. The food here definitely leans on the oilier side, so might be best to order hot tea or lime juice to cut through the grease. That said, their kitchen efficiency is top tier. Everything comes out fast, piping hot, and they really know how to maintain texture. Here is what we got: 🦪 Singapore's 1st Crispy Orh Luak 新加坡首创酥脆蚝煎 - not the sticky, gummy kind you usually get. it’s crisp and not overly starchy, plus the tangy sauce is a must to cut through the richness of the oysters. 🍳 Golden Nest 狮城皇巢 - leans on the sweeter side but executed really well. The edges are super crispy and dramatic, and mixing it with the runny egg yolk is the best part. 🥬 Cai Xin 菜心 - They ran out of 小毛豆 so they suggested choy sum. Just a standard zi char veggie dish. nothing special here. 🥩 Authentic Cantonese Char Siew 爸宝叉烧 - gorgeous, shiny caramelized glaze with a great charred flavor. My only complaint is I wished the pieces were cut thicker for a meatier bite to match the heavy sauce. Also, portion wise it's quite little 🥹 🐟 Yellow Croaker w/ Bean Paste 焗黄花口 - Fried to absolute perfection.
