Dear Fathers, One day, your little girl will face a world where your arms cannot reach her, your voice cannot defend her, and your presence cannot shield her from every disappointment. She will encounter heartbreak, rejection, betrayal, injustice, and moments when life feels unbearably heavy. And in those moments, what you taught her will matter more than what you gave her. So please, don't just raise a daughter who knows she is loved. Raise a daughter who knows she is CAPABLE, COMPASSIONATE, CONFIDENT, and INDEPENDENT. Teach her how to stand on her own feet, make wise decisions, manage her finances, solve problems, and rebuild her life when things fall apart. Don't raise her to believe someone must always come and rescue her. Raise her to recognize the strength already living within her. Teach her compassion, but remind her that kindness does not mean accepting cruelty. She can forgive without returning to someone who repeatedly hurts her. She can love deeply without losing herself. She can say NO without feeling guilty. And she can walk away from disrespect without becoming disrespectful. Teach her that being a good woman does not mean being a woman who tolerates everything. Fathers, tell your daughters they are beautiful, but never stop there. Tell them they are intelligent, courageous, resourceful, and worthy of respect. Listen when they speak. Respect their opinions. Apologize when you are wrong. And remember, the way you treat women may become the standard by which your daughter learns to recognize love. -MT
