commendations are just given out from either of these reasons "your a cool sprout" "i like your glamour" "you did well" "its ok to fuck up here have a gold star" or "random com go"

I still can't do PvP or higher difficulty raids in ffxiv BC of how badly I was treated in WoW. I want to get over it BC it looks so fun but I feel beyond anxious to keep trying

A large portion of FFXIV players give comms off of vibes rather than actual performance.

As a healer I give comms to DPS if the tank pisses me off. And in that I give it to the DPS that stood in the damage puddles the least.

imo ff14 is unplayable... 300+ hours of story as a new player. no ty. along with boring classes, everything feels so slow. not to mention the terrible UI

I just got back into game and I man tank. I let it be know my first raid back into game last weekend. I had to get battle rezd multiple times and healers had to limit break 3 to save the team probably because of me not knowing the mechanics yet. I got so many commendations. So thank you ffxiv community. Yall are so much better than WoW 😭😭🙏

FFXIV isn't perfect, you will still run into some toxic people, but I would say 90%+ of my interactoins with others have been very positive. Everyone should be able to play casually outside of farm parties

I have to admit, I'm toxic sometimes. But not in terms of People's making mistakes (because that's human and perfectly fine). It's much more in terms of pointing out the mistakes what where made and explaining them in the chat, that person is just going on as before. You don't have to write anything, but you can at least read the chat and try to do better. (and yes, as a healer I see that😂😂😂)

my experience, last week i did an alliance trail, ended up talking as a bard for a different party. no one said anything about the tank not doing his job, but I sure did get a lot of praise.

back when seige of orgrimmar came out , i wasnt able to play for a month , then it became hard to find group without acheivment even when i tell them i watched videod and know what to do, one day i found a group and killed 4 bosses smoothly then tank went afk and while chatting i said thx for the inv, it was hard finding a group without achi , the leader said u dont have achi?!! and he insta kicked me

We love sprouts! My sprout friend got to a major trial in SHB during the dead hours at like 5am where no one is in queue. I sent out a shout in Gridania asking for volunteers to help a sprout with their trial and immediately we got six people to join our party so she could run it. Everyone was super excited for her and happy to help!
