This is wild! I was just talking to my son about this yesterday. I have struggled with anxiety, PTSD, alcoholism, and withdrawal from anxiety meds that made everything full force. I was so angry with God for being stuck in this situation and when reading the Bible this stood out to me. I realized I had been living one foot in the world and wanting to hold on to my worldly identity and not my identity in Christ. It changes EVERYTHING

I think about this with my struggle with alcohol. Everytime I take it to the cross the battle becomes so much easier to fight—because He gives me strength. By my own strength, I could never put it down.

I prayed and prayed for change and Truth be put into my heart, my life, my mind, eyes, my ears, my mouth, my soul, I’m currently losing everything and I’m still choosing to hang onto Jesus through it all. I prayed for Him to take heed. To be in control of my life. To bring me to the path He has for me, and it’s happening. Sometimes it takes losing everything materialistically, financially, the home you lived in, people who you once relied on, everything except my life. And I’m done running, hiding, lying, living for others, I’m reaching for Him. Praying for my future, the people in my life even through losing everything they’re still here, I’m praying and I’ll always say, Glory be to God for still being here even the midst of darkness, because this is when we need Him most. God Bless everyone in the comments, praying for you all ✝️✨

If He could He would, because the question is offensive at this point, like as if He hasn’t heard every single one of my conversations for the last 20 years…. 20 years of talking the same thing is not enough answer? Too much to ask for? Yes, the answer is “DUH, of course!” Is He willing? Now that’s the real question to ask. Maybe He wants the world to burn for us to only need Him, sounds like something He would prefer to do then to just deliver that Yes. But who knows, we all have Free Will, and He is the way in the end. So whatever. Healed or not, that’s His will, for He knows mine, healed or not, I am His servant. Slave or Queen, whatever His will is, that’s what we are doing, whether I want it or not. I learned nothing I want matters. Only what He wants.

Whenever I read this story, I answered Jesus in a different way from what I had done before I keep reading this story and now I hear it from you and Jesus asked me. Do you want to be healed now I say yes but now I just have to wait on the Lord and know that he is God. I am asking God‘s people to pray for me for I am legally blind, and I am patiently waiting for God to heal my sight I know and understand now that it is in God‘s timing I do believe that I will be healed, and that my site will be restored in the name of Jesus amen

Being healed means being changed. And change can hurt and completely turn your world around. Everyone wants to be healed. But our flesh fights us on it. Because we don’t always want to face the changes necessary to receive the healing.
