Benjamin “Ben” Patch, the volleyball player: Profile & Career Full name: Benjamin Patch Born: June 21, 1994  Height: 2.03 m (6 ft 8 in)  Position: Opposite spiker (sometimes called “opposite”)  Spike reach / Vertical: His spikes have been measured up to ~382 cm.  Career Highlights & Clubs Collegiate & Early Played college volleyball at Brigham Young University (BYU), representing the BYU Cougars.  During his youth, he was active in U.S. junior and youth national teams.  In the 2012 U21 NORCECA Championship, Patch was named MVP.  Professional / Club In 2017–2018, he played in Italy for Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia.  From 2018 onward, he signed with Berlin Recycling Volleys (Germany).  With Berlin, he won multiple German titles, cups, and super cups.  National Team & Achievements He was a member of the U.S. Men’s National Volleyball Team from 2015 onward.  Some of his major accomplishments with the U.S. team:  Gold at NORCECA Championship (2017)  Bronze at the 2018 FIVB World Championship  Silver in the 2019 Volleyball Nations League  Bronze in 2018 Nations League  Bronze in 2019 FIVB World Cup  Personal Life & Status Patch was adopted by white Mormon parents in Utah.
