HR data analyst here - I think it’s important to understand excel at an intermediate level but gone are the days where you need to be advance or need to remember shortcuts, formulas etc - AI can do a lot of the heavy lifting now for this program

I do volunteer management and we are across Texas so we use a volunteer management platform. However, to do reporting we still need to use excel to cover what said platform does not cover. This being said, I have found that knowing about excel and using copilot are important to understand what you need to have dónde, otherwise AI is useless.

I don't care what AI puts out. It still needs to be checked and if you don't know what the right answer should be or what the right formula could be trusting it over your own knowledge is silly at this point

The difference between human and ai is the humans can actually catch errors. If u only copy and paste ai answers without knowing anything about the program youre using, how will you know if ai is hallucinating? Gotta have knowledge on the basics before you start using shortcuts.

AI has been super helpful for me but it’s important to know the answer before it writes the formula. That way I can have any inconsistencies identified and corrected.

For me AI is good but I will not 100% trust it. I found Copilot helped but once I checked my data it deleted some of my data tho lol
