as a carpenter, don't use this. Just like using a template any mistake you make is carried down the line. That's why you lay things out 16 on center with a tape measure. it keeps things more consistent.

not to knock it because I'm sure there's a market for it, asking for myself because I have to build a shed. technically couldn't one cut a block at 12 ½" and achieve 16" o/c?

It's not terrible for the DIY'er, but it is terribly slow for framing up several walls. A tape measure, pencil and two hands are way faster

carpenter here yep handy enough but need to be shorter on the first stud because you wouldn't be starting drywall halfway on the stud against the wall
