as a carpenter, don't use this. Just like using a template any mistake you make is carried down the line. That's why you lay things out 16 on center with a tape measure. it keeps things more consistent.

Yeah, I just cut it. Jake before I get started. Does the same thing and when I’m done I either nailed into the frame or throw it away don’t have to carry with me. I’ll cut a new one on the next job.
