I’ve heard people in Boston speak just as eloquently x but thank you as a Scot with a soft Edinburgh accent I’ve been complimented on my voice a friend of mine from Ohio he said please just read the back of the cornflakes box I just adore your voice xx 🙏😂

Surely we have accents depending on where you were brought up. I am A Cornishman and my accent will be different to a Manchester accent. Or are you talking about what used to be called received English which is mainly London centric.

I don't know how many people you speak to but there are many accents in Britain. Britain has not got completely rid of its class system, and I would say many accents are looked down upon by "posh" people. These people are a minority.
