@eztutorz: What method could we use to compute this integral? I am a biomedical student for reference with a 3.97 gpa. #education #maths #teaching #learning
The actual answer is 1/3x^3 -1/3ln|x^3+1| +c , u should expand the 1/3(x^3+1) = 1/3x^3 + 1/3, 1/3 goes with the constant of integration

could you do a u sub where the original integral has limits and the limits change? i'm in year 11 in the UK trying to get ahead a little but can't understand how people change bounds

⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ :
just add x² and minus x² then you get the integral of x² -x²/x³+1 = x³/3 -ln|x³+1|/3

x⁵/(x³+1)
use long division it becomes
x²-x²/(x³+1)
integrate it
= x³/3 - ⅓Ln(|x³+1|) +C
