@aboutolivercuts: (from episode 42) Diorite is a coarse-grained intrusive igneous rock of intermediate composition, formed by the slow crystallization of magma beneath Earth’s surface. It is composed mainly of sodic-to-intermediate plagioclase feldspar, with lesser hornblende, biotite, and/or pyroxene, and typically contains little to no quartz. Chemically and texturally, diorite is the plutonic equivalent of andesite. It commonly appears as a black-and-white “salt and pepper” rock and is associated with subduction-zone magmatism and continental arc settings. #aboutoliver #Minecraft #diorite #blindplaythrough
