til her last breath, he failed to protect her. She was alone her entire life, married to the duke (the man she loves) but still she felt alone and unlove. In the end , she died alone. Protecting his dukedom and his people. Who she thought was the most important to him, more important than her. I'm just a reader but no matter how much I tried understanding Varkas and his past actions, (his so called protections of Thalia) , I still don't like him. He is one of the reasons why Thalia was hurting, I can't forgive this man.

8. Talia thought Varkas was embarrassed of her that’s why he keeps hiding her when in fact he wanted to hide her beauty; 9. Varkas always put her first when it come to his duties and Thalia knows or somehow have a knowledge of this(which she doesn’t get why) but she also know that she will never be as important as the twins (which is proven true because i think varkas literally cant due to the covenant he made with the first empress)

I don’t think I’ll be reading this manhwa. I really like Spoon’s work, but I feel like she should choose better stories. The male lead is awful aside from being good-looking, he doesn’t have any genuinely likable traits. He’s loyal, but that doesn’t matter much when there’s no proper communication or basic emotional expression. The female lead is also hard to like. I understand she’s meant to be the villain and that she has a tragic past that shaped her into who she is, but there’s no real character development. She just comes off as selfish, and from the spoilers I’ve seen, the story seems to just focus on her being a pitiful villain without much growth.

es una historia de terror esta novela. no entiendo cómo Taila estaba tan obsesionada con varkas, porque eso no era amor, desde el punto de vista de ella, él la odiaba o no le gustaba entonces por qué aferrarse? hubiese sido menos miserable si se alejaba.

I've seen many spoilers about the understandable and reasonable behind varkas actions towards Thalia, that they would ever so defend him. so I gave it a chance and read it for myself (the novel)...and I think something is wrong with my understanding, because no matter how much I read each chapter again and again, I can't seem to like varkas as the ml, and idk why, because I can't explain why either nor understand why...
