I made mine a few years ago. if you extend the side's you'll get air at night and it won't be hot. also if you use a longer tarp you can close it when the tailgate is closed.

OR!!, you use a 10 x 10 pop up shade canopy. when it's time.to sleep back under the canopy, and.lower it down over the bed of the truck. WALA. did this for years.

$50 tent. There’s no way possible that all of those fittings and the tarp are only $10. The cheapest tarp at Walmart is gonna cost you $15 by itself.

Did you know that a 2 person tent will fit in the back of most trucks , put you mattress in the truck bed and then put the tent in side the bed and then you can put your blankets in and you will stay warm and it isn’t on the ground, it works I have camped this way for years, try it out , enjoy

You could use magnets along the side to keep the tarp tight against the bed to help with mosquitos. What are you going to use to enclose the back of the truck? Awesome job though! 👍
