idk every day the American dream seems farther and farther away. I've been unemployed for almost 2 months and have applied to over 40 places. I've gotten maybe 5 in person interviews and none of them have accepted me over other candidates despite my previous experience. it's just feeling more and more hopeless.

Participation trophies are the DUMBEST think they ever invented. I never liked them. Those kids knew they didn't win. They came out when my children were young... and my oldest is 37, youngest 30. We had no idea what it would cause yrs later.

I honestly think having my son in baseball from 4y t-Ball to Varsity has arguably helped shape his character and self control both on and off the field. It doesn’t mean caring less, it’s regulating emotions and learning to look on towards the next task on the field.
