Our double wide survived Hurricane Katrina and my friends brick home had tons of damage. You just never know. Of course we will evacuate if there’s a hurricane.

I think people don’t know the new standards when they set them up now. They are more tied down now than ever before and maybe more so than a stick built house? We had a double wide in the 90s and just moved in a new manufactured home 2 months ago and they are NOT the same house/setup, and the list goes on.

My mobile home was unbothered in Naples, FL during a direct storm surge and hurricane Ian. We didn't even lose electricity.

I was about to sayyyyy 😂 my 2005 Clayton single wide has been thru category 3-4-5 hurricanes without any problems 🤷🏻♂️as long as your home is tied down then you’re good. You might lose the skirting, but if you put a screw in every couple panels then you’re good. I still have the original skirting 😂😂

Straight line winds won't bother you. It is rotating wind that tears things up.
