Agreed. I ceramic coated a lady's car for 800. She had a fit. I said you do realize I have to wash it, clay bar the whole car, wash it again. Dry it, apply the ceramic with a 2 inch sponge, uv light it to make sure it's completely coated, then buff it. A proper clay bar swipe takes a couple hours. It's the labor, not the fact the material costs 50 bucks. It's a full day labor if done correctly.

Same as painting a car. The paint is not the expensive part. It’s all of the labor hours and experience that it takes to have a great outcome.

thats only 75-100 hr shop rate which honestly is decent when mechanics an auto body are 150-200 hr for there shop rate

All of the people saying that’s you’re paying $100/hr to get your car wrapped when you can do it yourself. You can also avoid paying mechanics $150-$300/hr to do your brakes, swap a radiator, fix a coolant issue, oil leak etc. But you still get it done through them and pay the price because they’re PROFESSIONALS and have been trained and done it for years. When in reality, if you took the time to research and learn, you could do it yourself. However those results would be far from the ones you’d get out of a mechanic shop. So stop being cheap, give your car the care and detail it deserves and get it wrapped professionally.
