Coming all the way from Nagoya, Japan, Gaburi Chicken just opened its first U.S. location in Torrance and they’re giving American fried chicken some serious competition. Their two must-order dishes are the signature bone-in chicken thigh, cut up for you and served “Gaburi-style” with garlic rice cooked in the chicken’s juices, and their crispy seasoned fried chicken with thigh, breast, and wing pieces. Pair it with one of their famous lemon sodas 🍋🥤, whether it’s the tart frozen tower or the sweeter sherbet version. The bright citrus flavor goes perfectly with the savory, umami-packed chicken! 🍵🍨 And whatever you do, save room for dessert. I was already full, but one bite of the matcha tiramisu and monaka ice cream made me cave instantly. The creamy mascarpone, earthy matcha, and sweet azuki red beans were the perfect ending to an amazing meal.
