You have your own journey , definitely. But I grew up as Muslim . I am not Pakistani however we were taught to always help . Give Sadaqa . Don’t let anyone get wronged in front of you . Stand for what is right . Even against yourselves . Allah would never approve of letting this happen . And if you can do something about it and you decide not to . That in itself is a test of your faith and morality. There is a famous Hadith . Have mercy ( empathy ) for the ones living on the ground so that mercy can be given to you from the sky . ( I am paraphrasing ) . So definitely be a doer . That is great

The reality is usually far more complex than the narratives we inherit.

One of the five pillars of Islam is Sadaqa. So muslim should help people that need help. Pray is good but you also need to do something other then just praying.

I would say avoid shortening "Zionist" to "zio" as historically that was always used by antisemites and neon*zis as a dogwhistle when talking about Jews in general. It makes it harder/near impossible for anti-zionist Jews to know who they're safe around etc 🫶

In all abrahamic religions, the scriptures calls on you to help those who need it. Christian’s literally call themselves ‘servants of god’ (idk if Islam has anything similar). So it’s always been strange to me when someone doesn’t serve god by helping others? I am not religious but I do see good in that. Like maybe god is ‘doing something’ by putting someone who needs help in the path of his faithful? It feels like less and less people with religion believe in doing stuff and not just praying 😕

I completely agree especially about being called a Zionist just for something out of your control like being an ex-Muslim or in my case being part Israeli, that causes people to assume I'm a Zionist when in fact that couldn't be more wrong and I hate what the Israeli government is doing right now and I'm very pro-Palestine
