Don't forget while making the layers of carbon fibre. if there was a bump in the layers, they sanded it down. Breaking more of the strands and making even more weak points.

the other issue you missed is that titanium and carbon fiber can be bonded together no problem BUT when the two of them bonded together and placed in salt water galvanic corrosion is accelerated and basically makes a really shitty battery.
