I wondered the same thing. We only saw the East Wing as it was being demolished. We never saw a mass of people to pack everything up and catalog it. A building demolition only takes a few minutes but it takes months or years to build.

Oh you’ve hit my special interest. I wanted to be an archaeologist when I was younger. There is an Archaeological Development Process that includes Due Diligence & Survey Before building starts. This is to identify heritage assets using pedestrian surveys, test trenches, or ground-penetrating radar. During active excavation and grading, an archaeologist is often on-site to inspect the soil layer-by-layer for unexpected features, relics, or human remains. Especially since this would be a High-Potential Zone (located in historically rich areas or known indigenous territories.) it would also be an area where Unexpected Discoveries such as undocumented ruins or bones are unexpectedly struck during routine grading. Don’t get me started on preservation in Situ. 😩😭 This whole thing breaks my heart

UFC is claiming they are eating the whole thing costs wise. Lies, because who is paying for security & federal coordination, DHS gave this event a Level I SEAR rating which is the highest level & is used for major events requiring extensive federal interagency support. That to me is a separate billable event. This is not within the existing duty costs of the staff members. 🙄 😒 I'm almost certain it's us tax payers paying for the government machinery around that damn cage.
