This is normal PPE because when people are dying of Ebola they’re often vomiting and bleeding and that can splatter. And the CFR is so high you cannot take chances. Everything needs to be covered. If a sick patient vomits in your eyes, mouth or nose, you’re done. If it gets on your arm and you an accidentally transfer to your face, you’re done. This is totally normal and totally appropriate PPE for any virus like this. And we’ve seen this PPE in every past Ebola outbreak. So quit fear mongering over normal PPE. No one is lying to you. It IS very contagious, and no one has told you otherwise. They’ve told you it’s low risk for most of us because it’s not aerosolized. And that’s true.

Yes. It’s bad. It’s something we had under control but then this administration cut all aid and preventative programs.

some NGO did a good cartoon film on ebola. Anyway I think they are just saying that so we don't panic because ebola is bad.... covid doesn't even get close to what could happen if ebola broke out in the US... People that thought covid was BS (doesn't matter why)... if they don't take ebola seriously, it could get bad fast. it's just gotta spread to a group that doesn't think its a big deal

Speaking as a public-health journalist who won a prestigious fellowship at the CDC back when it was the best of its kind in the world—Ebola is not something you FAFO with. Most outbreaks are in remote areas, and the terrifying mortality rate in such settings actually helps, because people die too fast to infect many other people. Traditionally, fatal infectious diseases were dealt with by putting all the sick people in a quarantine hut and leaving them to die or recover. If a community was free of a disease that was circulating in the area, it might literally destroy all the roads that would let outsiders in. We have taken the situation way too leniently.

Truth! It’s a wicked virus. It can live on surfaces and dead bodies for 12 days. It’s Not airborne, but it can be aerosolized (the aerosol effect) The movie 93days is dedicated to Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh from Nigeria. That’s how she got Ebola

From what I’ve read/heard, Ebola can cause severe vomiting and diarrhea. There’s a lot of dangerous clean up in the caring.

It’s not air borne but if some one coughs or sneases in the air and a lot of saliva or mucus comes out it’s gonna be air borne for a good bit of time but if they are talking or walking it’s not gonna get air borne it’s common sense
