Yeah have learned this. Be more direct and talk say what you need in a way. They are very service oriented. And might need a direct task. Also to challenge their notion. They might construct something as unreasonable or such. Then its good to bring it up ask them to clarify. Like they might overthink that they might give up something completely to meet you. But thats not what you mean. Cuz DAs might warp the narrative. So you clarify that its just for a bit you want to meet etc a weekend or sth. Not make them give up their hobbies or spare time or w/e. Clarify that thats not what you mean and state what you mean. And that its not unreasonable. Challenge their narrative.

Bree help! I’m going to see my avoidant ex situationship in 2 weeks at a mutual friends party. We haven’t seen each other in 2 months. I haven’t reached out once, but he’ll randomly dm me and I engage and then he literally ghosts me after I respond. There’s so much I want to say when I see him, but I’m going to try and hold back, but I also don’t want to be cold and dramatic and ignore him

When you say actions over words - my avoidant is strange in the sense he will tell me “I don’t love you, I don’t find you that attractive” when he’s activated, but his actions are so sweet, he would do anything for me, he is generous, he does thoughtful things. So I am confused 😭

The issue I keep running into is that whenever I try to have a real conversation, they either deflect or shut down, which only creates more distance between us. They just want to keep things fun and light
