Big dog, large car, homeowner here. I needed the big car before all the kids started launching and now that it’s paid off and we don’t drive it a bunch it makes more financial sense to keep the paid off car over downsizing.

I had such a hard time finding a rental with a tiny dog, less than 10 lbs, non-barking and very clean. I was lucky that eventually I got a landlord who loved dogs. Took months and months!

I need a big car 😩 I have 3 kids, one in a car seat and the other in a booster. My eldest is really big for his age, not old enough to be in the passenger seat, but to big to fit with booth seats in the back. I’m doing my best to find something in my price range that is also fuel efficient.

I moved from NJ to TX and it genuinely surprised me how many huuuge trucks and SUVs were on the road. And many of those owners had to drive for Uber to pay their bills and apartment rent.

I’m thankful to have my husbands truck for hauling logs, cinder blocks, etc. but I’m also extraordinarily glad that I can drive my more fuel efficient car on days I don’t have to haul stuff. You are completely right.
