why did nobody tell me influence isnt about tricks i picked up a book by Elias Varnor from Amazon thinking it would be strategy and tactics but it actually made me reflect more than i expected like oh… so thats the dynamic happening behind the scenes it doesn’t sell you a fantasy version of yourself it just shows you what’s already there once you see it you cant really unsee it

i cant lie ive read so many psychology and influence books at this point most of them just say the same surface stuff in different words then i read a book by Elias Varnor from Amazon and had to pause every few pages because it wasnt hyping me up it was exposing blind spots it explains why people respond the way they do and why we keep playing the same roles socially not dramatic just direct and that’s what made it hit
