One of my old professors did something like that on Canvas once, but I used a dark theme, so I saw all the "hidden" messages. He gave me a 0 because he didn't say the "if you are AI" part, and I really thought it was part of the assignment. He never fixed the grade.

I would never encourage cheating, but you can add instructions in personalisation for all major LLMs to warn you of these kinds of prompt injections.
