@plantbasednews: Former WWE superstar 'Kane' Calls Out Beagle Cruelty Former WWE superstar Glenn Thomas Jacobs AKA 'Kane' appeared on Netflix show 'Kill Tony Mania', which took place on the weekend of Wrestlemania 42. Jacobs is now Mayor of Knox County, USA. 'Kane' spoke out against the cruelty happening to beagles in labs in the USA. But it's not localised to the USA. Beagles are subject to torment, torture and death in labs around the world, including the UK. Earlier this year, approximately 1,500 beagles in Wisconsin that had been at the centre of an intense campaign by animal rights activists were relocated to new homes. The state-licensed facility, Ridglan Farms, located outside Madison, bred the beagles for biomedical research intended to advance veterinary medicine. Big Dog Ranch Rescue which operates campuses in Florida and Alabama, purchased 1,000 of the dogs and worked to place them with new owners, according to Lauree Simmons, the organisation's president and founder. The Beagle Freedom Project an animal rescue and advocacy group, took responsibility for rehoming the remaining 500 dogs.
