@livelovebeirut: Released in 1998, West Beirut is a Lebanese film directed by Ziad Doueiri. 🎬🇱🇧 Set during the beginning of the Lebanese Civil War in 1975, the film follows the daily lives of three teenagers living in Beirut as the city becomes divided between East and West. West Beirut was internationally recognized and screened at several film festivals around the world. The movie is known for portraying everyday life in wartime Beirut through the perspective of youth, while combining drama and comedy. Over the years, it became one of the most recognized Lebanese films internationally and remains an important part of Lebanese cinema history.
