I remember hearing Roberta Flack, a former school teacher sing on the radio. I went out and bought the 45s Killing Me Softly With His Song and The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face. I saw her perform these two now classic songs live on TV it was awesome performance. One of my favorite singer songwriters is Sam Cooke give some background stories about his music.
