Last I checked as long as you either picked up a pencil and wrote down words or typed it on a computer. You’re an author regardless of if you published or not and I hate that when people say that unpublished authors aren’t real authors. Every author had to start somewhere. I love that you got your book and I wish you well with any other projects you are working on
