I can personally attest that they're also VERY hardy. We got two tiny lil serviceberry saplings free from the library. We initially had them in pots and we got better and better at caring for them from there....... through an average 1.5 decapitations each and early root rot...... and they are now THRIVING despite all that. Still too young to fruit, but we're amazed by them every day

It is wild to me how early everything is fruiting this year. Some of our Serviceberry varieties are already done. I’m picking strawberries like crazy, and my raspberries are going, and so are my currants.
