@luislockedin: I’m not afraid to admit I chose Construction Management instead of Civil Engineering 🏗️🤷 Here’s why 👇 — 1. I’m not built for a desk 🦺 - CM keeps me on site every single day. Walking the job, leading crews, watching concrete get poured and steel go up. It’s awesome. 2. The money hits the same (or harder) 💸 - People are sleeping on CM salaries. You can match or beat a lot of engineering roles — especially once you’ve got field experience and start moving up. The ceiling is real. 3. I wanted to run projects, not calculate them 🏗️ - Engineers design it. I build it. I’m the one managing the schedule, directing the work, making the calls on the ground. That responsibility excites me more than being a calculator. 4. My personality doesn’t fit in a cubicle 🤷 - I enjoy working with people and building relationships. I lead, I communicate, I build with subs, owners, and everyone in between. CM rewards that. A desk doesn’t always. — #construction #civilengineer #engineer #constructionmanagement #projectmanager

Civil Engineering Degree > CM Degree. You could have done the same thing on the consulting side on Civil construction projects and gotten far better pay than any GC would pay you

It's easier to become a CM than a Civil Eng besides you don't need to take the EI and the PE👌 ... Hubby studied CM and I'm a Civil Eng w. CM master's 😂 also a PE but in transportation 🥴
