Civil Engineering Degree > CM Degree. You could have done the same thing on the consulting side on Civil construction projects and gotten far better pay than any GC would pay you

CM is a branch of Civil Engineering, you can’t be a CM without legal certified CE degree. In CE, there are multiple branch such as Structural, GEO, Transportation, Hydro, CM, Environment,…

I tell people this example because it’s true. I went the CM route and it pays damn near the same if not more. The difference between the two is, CE’s design the puzzle and the CM puts the puzzle together. I’d rather be a CM then CE mainly because you’re watching it go up and understand why it’s going up the way it is

The word civil makes civil engineering the mother of engineering ,you’re still a civil engineer as a construction management.
