If you ask me jimmy was meant to be a criminal lol, he always had potential to be a great lawyer but never wanted to play by the rules

“Never mattered all that much to me” yet was extremely jealous and cared about Jimmy becoming a lawyer putting them both on the same level.

deeply drawn to his character. I js wana be like everyone else! sucks when u dont know how to stand up for urself. I became obsessed abt the thought of being correct abt something and not afraid to say it.

There was a theme I noticed about BCS and I've been hearing a word brought up a lot since I've been rewatching it, but the lawyers in BCS are all concerned about "image". This idea of class and etiquette that holds them back from striking their opportunities when it matters. It hit me most during the Davis and Maine arc in which Jimmy makes that commercial which would have been progressive for the case but is ultimately held back because it would "ruin the image" of the firm. Ironically tho, I would say that after becoming Saul Goodman, Jimmy developed an image of himself to uphold as a truly crooked lawyer but in the final episode he redeems himself destroying his image as Saul and restoring himself as Jimmy McGill.
