:well let me explain how it works every app you and I and the rest of the world uses consumes water since they are all data centers that need to cool down. and no we will no run out of water since it doesn't just dissapear into thin air it becomes Steam that turns into clouds amd then it rains somewhere else. but think about it. if you build a data center in Russia as an example it's cold there so u will need less water but if you build one in Spain and it's really hot there u need 2 times more water . please do your research and yes ai can affect the ecosystems but global warming is contributing to the melting ice and the dying polar bears but the chemicals released by factories and the pollution from cars and other stuff like that takes a toll on ecosystems too. please do proper research and I'm not supporting ai or anything like that.

Tiktok used more water in 10 mins than 100 medium sized chat gpt prompts (varies per prompt) And plus its not like these servers are draining oceans, the water is constantly being recycled. 10 mins of research can back up what im saying. This dosnt obviously mean 0 water waste, but still tiktok and most social media uses a similar amount of water as to popular ai apps. Ai is a fantastic resource and can and is currently being utilized to improve society. Ai dosnt come with all pros, their still are alot of cons such as less jobs, and deepfakes. But in my opinion ai can be used to improve the world, and water is the least concern with ai. If u want change, target companies that really do “drain lakes”. The biggest company is nestle please do 10 mins of research on them please. Although that company is impossible to boycott since that own over 4000 companies, you can still push for change. Lots of people and companies impact the environment more than ai. So water is the smallest con in the argument against ai. Do some research, dont belive everything u see online.
