@laurenlhale: If you’re 35-60 and navigating perimenopause, follow me @laurenlhale. I share what’s actually working for me so you don’t have to figure this out alone. 🩷 I didn’t wake up one day and suddenly feel different. It happened slowly… and then all at once. ➡️ Anxiety I couldn’t explain. A body that stopped responding. Brain fog that scared me. Fatigue that kept me in bed. A nervous system that felt constantly overwhelmed. For a long time, I thought I was failing. That I wasn’t handling life well enough. That this was just “getting older.” At 42, someone finally said the word perimenopause and everything clicked. Here are 5 things that helped me start feeling like myself again: 1. Prioritizing protein. I stopped skipping meals and made sure I was actually fueling my body, not starving it. 2. Finding a doctor who would listen. I advocated for myself until I found someone who took my symptoms seriously. 3. Getting on HRT. Balancing my hormones changed everything for me. 4. Adding supplements and peptides. These helped fill the gaps and support what my body needed most. 5. Talking about it with other women. This one surprised me. Just knowing I wasn’t alone made the hardest days easier. These slides aren’t meant to scare you. They’re meant to say me too. The mess, the noise, the rage, the guilt, the exhaustion, the racing heart at night. None of it means you’re broken. It means your body is changing and asking for support in a season no one prepared us for. ✨ Meet me in the comments. Which of these 5 are you trying or want to learn more about? You never know who needs to read your words and realize they’re not alone. 🫶🏻 #perimenopausehealth #perimenopausesupport #hrt #hormonetherapy #hormonereplacementtherapy

My sister is currently going through this and she had a melt down one night, not too long ago. It was a side of her I had never seen before. It was downright scary, but then she began to cry uncontrollably and that let me know she was going through something. It’s perimenopause

Recently noticed a change in how I’m feeling, putting it down to PMS but I think more like perimenopause. Joints feel stiff and inflamed, constant itchy ear 😭 feeling lightheaded, forgetting things or not remembering the names for things. 😫

My heart palpitations got so bad along with my anxiety I thought I was having a heart attack. That's when I knew I had to get on HRT.

I can’t remember words. The other day I wanted to say cooler and I just had to say that thing that keeps you drinks cold with a lid, you know we take it on the boat. 😂

My biggest thing for me is the anxiety. I’m living in a constant fear that I’m dying or impeding doom. The anxiety is too much sometimes it makes me nauseous and sick.

I knew this was not going to be easy but I never thought how hard it was actually going to be. So many symptoms, I think the worst is not feeling like myself, feeling too tired and low in energy and motivation and patience to get myself to do things that I used to do easily before. Working now is a torture, wish I could retire already. I want to sleep the whole day but then when I finally get to bed, I’m wide awake.

I’m 39 and this is happening to me. The doctors have sent me for a blood test, but I’ve heard they’re so unreliable. So far I’ve been told ‘if I have regular periods it’s can’t be menopause’ and ‘come back to us when you start missing periods and having hot flushes’.
