I find telling people what views to have in order to fit your mold is pretty pretentious. anyone of any labeled viewpoint can have any view at all. not to mention there is a dramatic difference between ideology theory and practice.

Blaming immigrants for wages is, almost by definition, an example of the kind of alienation that Marx talks about. One of the tools of the bourgeoisie is to create alienation between the proletariat. Blue collar vs. white collar; men vs. women; and citizen vs. immigrant. It is no surprise that authoritarian governments cozy up to capitalists and use those tools of alienation to direct created anger toward minority groups.

Counterpoint- mass immigration might be the solution to the labor aristocracy. It’s probably true that mass migration drives down wages but most American workers are labor artistocrats, who per hour get paid way more for the same work than those in the global south

give everyone an id on their way in, enforce labor laws on their behalf, let them participate fully in the system of paying taxes and receiving whatever benefits their income and other factors entitle them to, and things will be so much less violent.

There is a two tiered system of labor in the United States that relies upon the legal/illegal distinction that naturally follows with the construction of borders. So illegal immigration does drive down wages but it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy of the bourgeoisie.
