Ginger bug starter: At least 5 tbsp of chopped ginger (skin on) 5 tbsp cane sugar Little over half a quart of water - day 1: water+1 tbsp sugar+1tbsp chopped ginger to a clean mason jar. Feed ginger bug 1 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp chopped ginger every day after until starter is nice and bubbly. (Can take up to 5 days- be sure you leave the skin on your ginger) Next step is lemonade: Make to your liking or 2 quarts water Juice of 2-4 lemons 1 cup sugar LET COOL COMPLETELY (very important so you don’t kill your starter culture (ginger bug)) Add one cup ginger bug starter to each swing top bottle, fill to neck of bottle with the lemonade - let sit for 2-6 days on the counter, burping daily. (Should be ready by day 3) Once ready- store fermented lemonade in the fridge and enjoy 💛 #guthealth #gingerbug #fermented #fermentedfoods #heal
