as a former server here, Olive Garden is breaking federal law telling her they can hold it up to 120 days. because they can only hold it until their next scheduled pay period or the next day. as far as termination goes if she's in a right to work state there's nothing she can do

My husband and I agreed that they typed up that letter after she received that $700 tip, possibly the next morning even, so that they would have it to give when she showed up for her shift.

I have to ask this. why didn't the customer give the tip directly to the server? why did it have to go through the business in the first place. I don't know anything about the tipping system as we don't have it in gods country Australia

Olive Garden ya'll need to do better. Paying out a $700 tip after 120 days. Last time I checked my bills don't wait after 30 days or 35 days with a payment grace period.
