Waze wayibeka indaba! After being fired from 5 jobs in one year, I had a conversation with them and reasoned with them. Many of them were highly skilled, powerful decision makers who faced so much opposition, they left still oppressed. I understand why they wouldn't want me to repeat those cycles - I don't want to either. But it's so important to overcome where they failed, to rewrite the story and more importantly, to succeed at it because in doing their work - you'll meet people who need solutions in their workplaces, but if you were defeated by the situation yourself; what will you give them? How will you solve their problems? So, learn the field, roll with the punches, reach goals and leave when you've cut off the giant's head- not out of rejection, attacks or pressure. Somehow that gave me a bit of a relief.
