I’d like to ask a question, I get that modesty is a must and I agree with that ofc, but covering the hair why? I’ve tried so hard to find a logical reasoning and all I see is “to avoid tempting men” but why would god punish us women when it’s men who have bad intentions? Isn’t it written that we’re judged based on our intentions? Why do I have to suffer in heat, in sun, never feel the wind through my hair, when literally showing hair is a natural human body just like hands and feet… it’s so unfair actually.. and nowhere is it written in the Quran that covering hair is a must, they ask to cover our chest area which is also logical ofc, but the idea of “covering up” because of men is something that makes me look at religion as men-oriented and misogynistic… I’m sorry but I can’t control

Here’s another perspective to add to this. When men pray 5x a day it is to ask for forgiveness and to stay as close to morality as we can. It’s a reminder to be moral 5x a day. When a woman is excused from prayer during menstruation (an empathetic gift from god truly) she does not need to be reminded 5x a day. Therefore as you said, to help erase the sin since praying isn’t doing it then, is to give charity. As it would ease the sin of any individual male or female. Wow what a great explanation of this Hadith. Islam is such a beautiful religion. It is we (the humans) who mistakenly twist it at times, may we be forgiven for that

a women when going through cycles are going through a lot of hormonal ups and downs, periods, perimenopause and menopause which are affecting the woman on so many aspects like mentally, emotionally and physically which also can impact spiritually.
