@bhubb7: Critics of Islam cannot fathom that Islam is more just than their systems. It makes more sense to them to parrot superficial and shallow historical analyses rather than face the fact that even with the shortcomings within the Islamic Empires, Islam was still more just than anything they’ve ever produced. Islam ruled the world for 1000 years not because of colonial domination but because of divine law and justice. It was only until Muslims themselves started leaving Islam bit by bit that the state from within started to decline.

It's projection, "if we, the good christians, spread by bad things like slavery and colonization, that must mean islam, which is way worse than we are, must spread by what's worse than what we did"

You have no idea what you’re talking about. 1. Colonisation is not dependent on extractive processes (no economic historian would argue such). 2. The indigenous population of North Africa, Spain and the Middle East WAS displaced. 3. ‘Colonial projects rely on hierarchies’. Yes, but no imperial historian would ever argue that such hierarchies are fixed. The Scottish were oppressed as colonial subjects in the 17th century, yet rose to become more important (per capita) than the English for the British Empire. Would this, in your view, render the British empire a non-colonial project?

if they think Islam is colonial, then they must think the same about Christianity, but they don't because they measure how Christian they are by faith, they just measure it by how much they hate Islam, anyway, the biggest Muslim population is in Indonesia, which is very far from where Islam began

Major areas that were Christian before Islam include: Egypt: Heavily Christian under the Byzantine Empire. The native Coptic Church was the dominant religious force before the Arab conquest in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine: The heart of the Levant was predominantly Christian under Roman/Byzantine rule before the Muslim armies arrived in the 630s. Iraq: Ancient Mesopotamia had large Nestorian (Assyrian) Christian communities, existing under the Persian Sasanian Empire. Armenia: The Kingdom of Armenia became the world's first nation to adopt Christianity as a state religion in Ethiopia & Eritrea: The powerful Kingdom of Aksum in East Africa adopted Christianity as its state religion in the 4th century. North Africa (Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, Morocco): Once a major stronghold for Western Christianity (producing key figures like Augustine of Hippo) before the 7th-century conquests. Yemen & the Arabian Peninsula: While pre-Islamic Arabia was largely polytheistic, significant Christian communities and tribes thrived, particularly in Yemen (the Himyarite/Aksumite period), Najran (in southern Saudi Arabia), and eastern Arabia (including modern-day Bahrain and Qatar).
