Use dish soap to help it slide on and if you have those spring tools, zip tie them open with the spring stretched out so that way you don’t have to use your strength to keep them stretched open and trying to get it over the gasket at the same time

2hrs is crazy boss 💯I use a flat head to hold the right piece where it clips and some pliers to pull on the string, for the front one I run it from left to right until it sits outside then put some soap on my thumb and slide that thang in there lol 😁
