hi, ex jeweler's assistant here. you need to put the ring in a basket or hang it in the middle of the ultrasonic. the ring touching the bottom or the sides of the machine is more likely to shake out the stones but if you have it suspended in the middle, its fine.

As someone that works in fine jewelry I’d be careful. I recommend a “straw cleaner” and baking soda. You can even use windex! I’d avoid regular cleaning using an ultrasonic that’s not professional grade.

i use lukewarm water and a splash of dawn dish soap, soak my ring in it for 30 mins then lightly scrub it and it looks so good🤌🏼
