1. I De-Centered the “Soft Life” as My Highest Goal: Sis, there’s nothing wrong with enjoying beauty, rest, financial ease, or a peaceful life. God isn’t against His children experiencing good things but I noticed how easily comfort became the goal instead of faithfulness. Sometimes obedience requires inconvenience. Sometimes purpose is demanding. Sometimes growth is uncomfortable. A Christian life isn’t meant to be constantly stressful but neither is it designed around avoiding discomfort at all cost sis. 2. I De-Centered Healing as My Identity: Sis, therapy, counseling, prayer, deliverance, and emotional growth matter deeply but I realized there came a point where I knew more about my wounds than my calling. Every conversation circled back to what hurt me. Every decision was filtered through my trauma. Healing should restore your ability to live not become the lens through which you interpret your entire existence. God doesn’t only heal people. He also sends them. The big question I want you to ask yourself is: Am I building a life around my scars or around God’s purpose? 3. I De-Centered My Timeline: Sis, I had an invisible schedule for my life. By this age, I should have, by now, I should be. Every birthday became a reminder of what hadn’t happened yet but God’s work isn’t measured by cultural milestones. Many of the people God used significantly experienced long seasons of preparation before public impact. Delays are not always denials sometimes they’re development sis. 4. I De-Centered Consuming Christian Content Only Without Practical Use: Sis, this one challenged me deeply. I could spend hours listening to sermons, podcasts, devotionals and still neglect prayer, meditation, repentance, or practical obedience. I learnt that Knowledge can create the illusion of growth but true transformation happens when truth moves from my ears into my life. Sometimes we mistake spiritual consumption for spiritual formation which is a totally different thing. 5. I De-Centered Creating a Godly Image: Sis, there was a season when I cared deeply about looking like a “godly woman.” I wanted my captions to sound profound. My Bible to look well-used. My feed to reflect faith. I wanted people to associate me with wisdom, purity, discipline, and spiritual maturity. None of those things are wrong. The danger came when I became more concerned with how my faith looked than how it was shaping my heart. It’s possible to know the right Christian language without consistently living it. To post Bible verses every morning but struggle to forgive. To share devotionals while neglecting personal prayer. To be known online for your faith while feeling distant from God in private. The Christian life isn’t a performance. It’s a process of transformation that often happens where no one is watching. #christiancommunitytiktok #christiantiktok #prayer #fyp #relatable
