The candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long. It is important to get good grades in high school and college, but we have to pace ourselves and maintain a balanced life. So many high-achievers are just burnt tf out by 24, it’s scary.

Yeah. Valedictorian -> graduated college with honors -> worked in a coffee shop making $11/hr for 4 years -> finally decide to lock back in and became a CPA. Life takes its twists and turns. I’m 15 years into my career and about to become a partner at my CPA firm. It’s okay to fall down and get back up. It’s okay to realize you don’t want to have a crazy intense lifestyle. It’s okay to recover from burnout. It’s okay to realize you were a pretentious jerk in the past and that having a humbling experience is actually part of growth. Life is long. If you’re happy where you are, that’s great! If you’re not, there is still plenty of time to make a change. 🥰
