NTA. On the one hand, it's nice that she was initially concerned. But there are a BUNCH of valid reasons someone might not be wearing their wedding ring, and once you explained the reasons behind it and that you were aware, she should have dropped it. And if your husband makes the exact same joke and thinks it's funny, then it's fine.

I'm a huge advocate for wearing silicone rings for day to day stuff! my fingers swell and I can still take it off if needed, it's fun to fidget with, and its much lighter than metal, so he might not mind it as much

I forget my ring a lot because during COVID I didn’t leave the house and fell out of the habit of putting it on, and then now when I leave the house it’s often for going to the gym where I don’t wear it because I don’t want to take it off and lose it. I wear it when I remember but my husband NEVER takes it personally and definitely isn’t insecure about me wearing/not wearing it.
